Writing your own eBook means publishing an idea in text form. Anyone who has an idea can basically write an eBook and give it away for free to read or sell it, for example, on Amazon as a Kindle.

Anyone who likes to write a lot and can work in a well-organized way is capable of becoming an eBook author.

It doesn't matter what you write about. There are countless books that show you can publish something on any topic and still find a readership.

The requirements to write your own eBook are:

  • You need to have an idea you want to write about. You need a topic. This theme is the guiding thread that runs from the first page of the eBook to the last.
  • Enjoy writing. You should enjoy writing and have fun writing. If you have to force yourself to do it, it might be better not to write eBooks.
  • Time to write. It takes time to write. It is best if you find time to write every day; otherwise, you will never finish your eBook.
  • Motivation and discipline. Sitting down and writing over and over again requires motivation and discipline. If either of these is missing, it will be difficult to finish the eBook.
  • Spelling program. To keep the text as error-free as possible, use a program with a built-in spell checker from the beginning. All good programs have this feature built in.

If you meet all the requirements, you can regularly sit down at your laptop or PC and write a few pages on your eBook. Depending on the size of the eBook, you will keep up this rhythm for weeks or months until the eBook is finished.

The fact is that most eBooks or books never get published because authors simply don't finish them. Therefore, you should take the writing process very seriously and keep motivating yourself to write the eBook.
